Disney and Pixar just revealed the first trailer for Hoppers! The new animated movie follows Mabel, an animal lover trying to learn more about the natural kingdom. She’s tried a new technology that allows her to communicate with all sorts of animals. Piper Curda’s voice acting in this little bit is already really great. Hoppers jumps into theaters on March 6, 2026. Check it out for yourself right here!
Daniel Chong is directing Hoppers for Pixar and Disney. The filmmaker talked about what his film focuses on in a release. Could we stand to think a little bit more about the natural world around us? Probably! It feels like Mabel is a way to explore that idea.
“In ‘Hoppers,’ the question we’re answering is: ‘What if we could understand and communicate with the animal world?’” Chong explained. “Our main character, Mabel, gets to discover the animal kingdom as an animal, which can be weird and often hilarious. Mabel undercover in the animal world leads to a wild, roller coaster ride of a movie, with all the heart you expect from a classic Pixar film. It’s going to be so much fun to watch in the theater; I can’t wait for everyone to see it.”
Hoppers Debuts First Pixar Trailer
Here’s what Pixar has to say about their big movie for next year: “In ‘Hoppers,’ scientists have discovered how to “hop” human consciousness into lifelike robotic animals, allowing people to communicate with animals as animals! Using the new technology, Mabel (Curda) will uncover mysteries within the animal world that are beyond anything she could have imagined.”
The movie is produced by Nicole Paradis Grindle, “Hoppers” also features the voices of Bobby Moynihan and Jon Hamm.
