The Legend of Vox Machina tells the story of one of the most famous campaigns in D&D history. Indeed, Critical Role has become one of the most famous D&D campaigns precisely because every single member of the party is a professional voice actor. The result is a web series that’s very entertaining to watch, as well as becoming its own franchise owned by the cast who voices it. Heck, it’s so famous that Amazon Prime Video snapped up the franchise in order to make an animated series based on it, but with the voice cast still in control of the IP.
Thus, you can understand why Amazon Prime Video would be so eager to promote the franchise, especially at San Diego Comic-Con. Especially given the news they’re about to share. Amazon Prime Video is proud to announce that they are renewing The Legend of Vox Machina for a fifth and final season at SDCC 2025. When we will get to see this fifth season is all up in the air at the moment. We do have a nice group photo of the entire cast for the news, though.

However, that’s not the only news Prime Video is sharing with us from SDCC 2025. They’re also announcing that The Legend of Vox Machina will return for a fourth season sometime in 2026. In fact, they have a brand new sneak peek for that upcoming season, which you can watch either on YouTube or below:
The Legend of Vox Machina Getting Season 4 and Season 5
From the sounds of things, it looks like Critical Role has a very healthy showing at SDCC 2025. With both The Legend of Vox Machina‘s upcoming new seasons and The Mighty Nein incoming, we’re all set to get some more D&D fun from Amazon Prime Video in the coming years. Alas, we still need a Prime Video subscription to actually watch them, though, so we’ll need to open up our wallets at some point.
