Halloween Horror Nights took up the main event slot at the Midsummer Scream 2025 with a panel about their upcoming events on both coasts. John Murdy and Michael Aiello, the head honchos of their respective coasts were on stage to kick off the panel. Normally, this panel features some announcements of new houses and other events, but they’d already announced everything going on at Horror Nights this year, or so we thought. There were still surprises in store, so without further ado, let’s dive in.
John Murdy started off by saying that this is the best Horror Nights lineup since 2016. That year featured American Horror Story, The Exorcist, Freddy Vs. Jason, Halloween: Hell Comes To Haddonfield, Krampus, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: Blood Brothers, and The Walking Dead Attraction.
The first part of the panel was a Q&A with questions from X/Twitter. One such question was about how long the process is for selecting which IP franchises the teams choose for the event. Michael said that t’s a massive process and they work with the insights teams, the marketing teams, they seek out properties, and have IPs that come to them. They start the process in March.

Murdy said that Five Nights At Freddy’s and Terrifier are proof that fans have an impact on what they pick for HHN. He also said that he thought doing FNAF would have been impossible five years ago, but the revelation of using the Henson Creature Lab for the suits was key.

One tidbit that John Murdy said he would file away was the reaction to having the icons like Jack and the Director back for Halloween Horror Nights in Hollywood. We all know we’d love to see some of those famous icons back for the event.
The Horrors Of The Wyatt Sicks Brings Wrestling To Horror Nights Again

We got a bunch of information about The Horrors of the Wyatt Sicks house on both coasts, including how the idea got started. There was a huge pop from the crowd for this one. It all started with Bray Wyatt talking to Michael Aiello about doing a house at Horror Nights. His passing meant that wouldn’t happen, but then his brother and WWE talked to Aiello about it, and now we have this house coming this year.
They showed off the facade for the Hollywood Horror Nights version, which is going to be the Wyatt Compound and the Orlando house will be based around the Firefly Fun House. Finally, the queue line will have exclusive content from Bo Dallas/Uncle Howdy for guests to watch.
It was rapid fire for questions, including something about their collaboration on houses. FNAF will be 99% the same on both coasts because they worked in tandem on it. They also said that every year they share a moment with fans and their team. The moments with the fans are the thank yous to the teams.
Finally, they brought out Damien Leone and producer Phil Falcone to talk all about the Terrifier house.
Terrifier Takes The Panel Overtime With Smells, Sights, And Poop

Here’s what the facade looks like for both Hollywood and Orlando. They’re doing Art’s funhouse from Terrifier 2.

We’re going to have plenty of Arts in the two houses and these are some of the designs they’ve made for them. They’re also going to have characters like Vicky and the Little Pale Girl in the house as well.

Finally, there will also be a Sienna Shaw character in the house, and here’s what her design looks like, complete with wings.

The Kills Of Terrifer At Halloween Horror Nights

Here are some of the designs of the kills in the house, including the infamous hacksaw kill from the first film. They’re also going to highlight Allie’s death from Terrifier 2, the Santa kill from Terrifier 3, and a promise of buckets of raining blood in the house. The house will break the HHN record for most bodies in a house.

Then there were the smells.
Yes, we were promised all the horrible smells of a bathroom filled with dead people. John Murdy promises the worst smells in the house. There are cameos from some of the best kills in the series in the bathroom.
Finally, they went into the finales of the two houses, where in Orlando, you can choose the wet or dry path, but in Hollywood, there is no such luxury.

John Murdy made sure to mention not to use the Chicken Exit in the Hollywood house. He didn’t go into detail. Michael says the wet path in Orlando is like “front-row Jurassic Park, this is a car wash of blood.”
Finally, for something new, there are going to be Art the Clowns around anywhere in the park. You might be having your RIP Tour buffet dinner and there’ll be an Art staring at you. In stores, everywhere around the park, you have to find them, they won’t have a schedule from HHN.

This panel was fitting for the main event spot of the night. It might not have had any new reveals for houses, but we got plenty of information about some of the houses at the event, including what’s likely to be the most popular of the season, Terrifier.
