Bluey surprises everyone with a new movie! BBC Studios and Walt Disney Studios are bringing a feature-length film to theaters on August 6, 2027. Ludo Studio brings Bluey to the big screen with an original CG-animated movie from series creator Joe Brumm. In addition, the show’s voice actors, Melanie Zanetti (Chilli) and David McCormack (Bandit) are back too!

Previously, the crew behind Bluey were mum on the details for what came next. Season 3 ended with some really emotional episodes. Fans of course want more, but the shape of the rest of the story could come in a couple different factors. Would it be a new TV season? Or as we’re seeing now, is it this new movie? Bloomberg talked to Daley Pearson of Ludo Studios about what’s next for Bluey last year.

“Now that it’s gone to 28 minutes, is it another season? Is it another—another something?” Pearson began. “We always wanted Bluey to be surprising and give the audience something they don’t know they want. That’s what we’re thinking about. What is that thing? What is that vehicle that is next for Bluey?”
