No matter what the project in question may be, an outtake reel is always going to be a crap shoot. It’s kind of hard to outdo the likes of Smokey and the Bandit or Anchorman when it comes to screwing up so well that you can practically package it for the folks at home. And while it’s a traditional special feature to expect from The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ home entertainment release, the first taste of the MCU’s latest oopsies actually works pretty well.
Ahead of Marvel’s release of First Steps on Digital HD next week, ET has landed an exclusive clip from the gag reel. Even I, a person desensitized by years of unfunny Pixar “bloopers,” think this is an absolute delight to watch – but judge for yourself:
While this looks like only a portion of the screw ups we’ll see at home, Pedro Pascal seems to be stealing the spotlight in what we’ve seen here. Playing against everything from baby scene partners to the camera operator on set, The Last of Us star gets lovably goofy in these quick clips.
At the same time, both he and Fantastic Four co-star Vanessa Kirby seem to be on the business end of something every parent both fears and giggles at: baby farts. Kirby in particular seemed to be at ground zero for those little poots, which is something that helps take the edge off of the family drama that Marvel Studios’ latest made its home with.

I have to say, I’ll actually actively seek out the outtake reel from The Fantastic Four: First Steps when it’s released for home audiences. While I know it’s going Digital on September 23rd, I’m willing to wait until the physical release on October 14th…especially when the Amazon exclusive 4K Steelbook package looks like an all-out beauty.
