A24 is also setting up a full-size MMA ring where fans can interact with props from the film. There’s also limited-edition merchandise available to order. The Smashing Machine Arcade requires a movie ticket for entry. If you’re in the area, head on over to 305 Canal Street in New York on October 2 and 3. It’s going to be a wild spectacle for everyone involved!
The Smashing Machine Arcade experience is just the latest bit of hype on the A24 release

A lot has been made of Johnson’s physical transformation to play Mark Kerr in this movie. The Smashing Machine was an immediate award show shortlist-er after the trailer premiered. Pairing Safdie with The Rock and Emily Blunt is a wild sentence to consider just a few short years ago. But Johnson’s been up for the challenge. During a press conference at Venice Film Festival 2025, the former WB star talked about making the leap to this kind of prestige project.
“This transformation was something I was really hungry to do,” Johnson emotionally recounted. “I had been very fortunate to have the career that I’ve had over the years and to make the films that I’ve made, but there was just a voice inside of me, a little voice that said, ‘Well, what if I could do more — I want to do more and what does that look like?’”
