I don’t think anyone could have seen this year’s Call of Duty title actually being the surprise sequel Black Ops 7. Ever since the shock wore off, we’ve been learning more and more about what to expect from the unexpected this November. The most important piece of that puzzle has started to fall into place, thanks to Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 dropping a multiplayer trailer that’s made history for the saga.

Black Ops 7 Introduces Overclocking And Weapons Sharing

There’s a lot to take in with the latest look at Activision’s latest first person shooter – arriving ahead of September 30th’s Call of Duty: NEXT event. That being said, I’d like to draw your attention to a literally Lethal surprise – the “Overclock” feature. Before we get too far into Call of Duty’s new bells and whistles, take a look at the Multiplayer trailer for Black Ops 7:

Just when you thought customization couldn’t get any deadlier in the world of CoD, along comes this beautiful tweak to your favorite Loadout items! So what do Overclock attributes do for your favorite Equipment, Scorestreaks, and Field Upgrades? Well, depending on what you use, everything from increasing their power to reducing the barrier of entry to earn these goodies is in the works.

In terms of what’s new with your individual firearms, there’s one feature that needs to be talked about. You may have noticed special codes on the various Call of Duty armaments presented in Black Ops 7’s Multiplayer trailer. Well, those are for you to share and receive various blueprints for weapon builds. So if someone kills you with jealousy – as well as a souped-up MXR-17, you can easily find the key to success; should your opponent be willing to share.

Fan Favorite Call of Duty Multiplayer Maps Are Just Part Of The Fun

According to the press email from reps for Activision-Blizzard, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is the first time all launch day multiplayer maps have been revealed at once. New entries make up the majority of locales players will need to get familiar with – and the footage in question showed off some fun usage of weapons present in these venues.

Venturing further into the entire line-up of 18 multiplayer maps, pictured above, you can spot those old favorites I was hinting at. Anyone who’s been swearing at Raid, Express, and Hijacked since their inception in 2012’s Black Ops II should get warmed up. Returning yet again after being added into 2020’s best seller Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, these old haunts will once more give you something to shout about.

You can gear up and roll out into the world of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 when it debuts on November 14th. However, there will be two early chances to dip your toes into these waters of combat. The Early Access Beta for those who pre-ordered the title will run between October 2nd and 5th, while the Open Beta is set for October 5th to 8th.
