Ace Frehley’s Hospitalization

Ace Frehley, the original guitarist for KISS, is currently hospitalized and on life support right now. TMZ has confirmed the details of the hospitalization and notes that Frehley is still alive, despite online speculation that the legendary guitarist has passed away. Frehley suffered a brain bleed when he took a fall in his studio a couple of weeks ago. He was forced to cancel his upcoming tour dates without any improvement on his health.

They’re also reporting that Frehley is on a ventilator, with his family considering all options when it comes to his health.

Frehley was 74 years old currently and was set to go on tour with his solo band but was forced to cancel dates on September 25th. He then canceled the remainder of his 2025 dates.

Frehley was a founding member of KISS with Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, and Peter Criss. He was in the band from 1973 to 1982 and left amidst creative differences. He started his solo project with the band Frehley’s Comet in 1984 and that lasted until 1988. He rejoined KISS in 1996 on their reunion tour and was in the band until 2002. Since then, he’s played with his solo band off and on.

His legacy and contributions to hard rock and heavy metal music are incalculable. His guitar style as the lead player in KISS has inspired multiple generations of musicians across the board of genres. Too many players to count all credit Ace Frehley on KISS ALIVE as their introduction to the instrument.

He’s helped write countless classics from the band like “Rock and Roll All Nite” and “Detroit Rock City”. Join us in sending some good thoughts to Ace and his family in this trying time.

RIP.
