“The Hand That Rocks the Cradle” from 20th Century Studios is getting ready for its release on Hulu on October 22. This is a reimaging of the 1992 classic film that took the top spot at the box office for 4 weeks in a row upon its release. Now director Michelle Garza Cervera is putting a haunting modern twist on the psychological thriller.

A CHAT WITH THE DIRECTOR

With the release of “The Hand That Rocks the Cradle”, I spoke with director Michelle Garza Cervera. While she already has experience behind the camera in Mexico. This is her first major motion picture in the U.S., and her first time directing a project she didn’t write. With so much new we talked about her experience working on this project. Garza Cervera also shared with us her thoughts on her two leading ladies Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Maika Monroe. As well as how important it was for her characters to be in a gray area of morality. Mary Elizabeth Winstead stars in the 20th Century Studios film as Caitlin Morales, an upscale suburban mom who brings a new nanny, Polly Murphy (Maika Monroe), into her home, only to discover she is not the person she claims to be.
