OSHI NO KOis a fascinating take on the idol anime genre. Mostly in large part to the fantasy elements, including the pseudo-isekai bits, as well as the conspiracy and mystery elements in the anime to go with it. All that mix of genres makes it a very interesting and popular anime. It’s also why HIDIVE has been streaming the first and second seasons of this anime. So you would think that HIDIVE would stream the upcoming third season, right? Alas, that would be incorrect, and shockingly so.

Crunchyroll is proud to announce that they will stream 【OSHI NO KO】Season 3 when it finally makes its debut. Said debut will be on January 14, 2026 to line up with its simultaneous broadcast in Japan. This announcement comes with a key visual, and even a new trailer that showcases the ending theme song: 「セレナ-デ」(lit. 「Serenade」 ) by natori. You can watch that trailer on YouTube, or just look below for both it and the new key art:

Honestly, this whole business of Crunchyroll suddenly streaming 【OSHI NO KO】 is a bit…sketchy. Especially when you realize that they are streaming Season 3, and Season 3 only. HIDIVE is still the only streaming platform streaming the first two seasons. I have no idea what went on behind the scenes that resulted in this. However, the end result now is that fans of this anime now have to pay for two separate streaming services just to watch this one show to its conclusion. It honestly feels like a scummy move on Crunchyroll’s part, to be honest. Unfortunately, what has happened has happened, and now we have to live with the consequences.

What do you all think? Are you too taken aback by Crunchyroll’s suddenly streaming 【OSHI NO KO】Season 3 instead of HIDIVE? Tell us your thoughts in the comments section below.
