Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba Infinity Castle is already breaking records. The new anime film opens on September 12. Fandango reports that the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba Infinity Castle is already the best-ever first-day ticket pre-seller for an anime title. We all knew the massive project was going to be popular, and this is just more proof of Demo Slayer’s dominance on the big stage.

“We are blown away by the sheer excitement for the arrival of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle through the number of tickets sold in its first day,” Jerramy Hainline, EVP of Fandango said in a statement. “The overwhelming response is a true testament to the power of the anime community, and we are so proud to help bring anime into theaters so fans can experience it on the big screen.”

During a recent panel during San Diego Comic-Con, Tanjiro Kamado’s voice actor Natsuki Hanae teased what fans could expect from this heavyweight clash. “I can’t really tell you what’s going to happen in the movie,” Hanae smirked. “You know, maybe Tanjiro is going to go up against Akaza. In Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, Tanjiro couldn’t do anything, so it’s going be a spectacle to see how much Tanjiro has grown since the last film…”

Here’s how the series leads to this point: “Tanjiro Kamado – a boy who joined an organization dedicated to hunting down demons called the Demon Slayer Corps after his younger sister Nezuko was turned into a demon. While growing stronger and deepening his friendships and bonds with fellow corps members, Tanjiro has battled many demons with his comrades, Zenitsu Agatsuma and Inosuke Hashibira.”

“Along the way, his journey has led him to fight alongside the Demon Slayer Corps’ highest-ranking swordsmen, the Hashira, including Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku aboard the Mugen Train, Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui within the Entertainment District, as well as Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito and Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji at the Swordsmith Village. As the Demon Slayer Corps members and Hashira engaged in a group strength training program, the Hashira Training, in preparation for the forthcoming battle against the demons, Muzan Kibutsuji appears at the Ubuyashiki Mansion. 

“With the head of the Demon Corps in danger, Tanjiro and the Hashira rush to the headquarters but are plunged into a deep descent to a mysterious space by the hands of Muzan Kibutsuji. The destination of where Tanjiro and Demon Slayer Corps have fallen is the demons’ stronghold – the Infinity Castle. And so, the battleground is set as the final battle between the Demon Slayer Corps and the Demons ignites.”
