Dr. Seuss takes center stage on Netflix with new shows around Red Fish, Blue Fish, Horton!, and The Sneetches. Netflix dropped a new trailer for these family favorites this morning. In the clip you get to see all of these beloved Dr. Seuss characters in friendly animation. The preschool and family animated section of the app will have so much of the beloved children’s author this fall. Red Fish, Blue Fish is up first on September 8. The classic odd couple dynamic is off and rolling. Check out the trailer below.
Horton! greets viewers on October 6. He’s a little younger in the new Netflix animated series. Adventures are still on the way for the lovable elephant and his friend Samson. Then, The Sneetches get their own special on November 3. The special is slated to be 45-minutes long!
Netflix’s Head of Preschool Content talked about the enduring legacy of Dr. Seuss a couple of years ago. “Netflix is a trusted home for characters kids love, and generations of kids love the characters imagined by Dr. Seuss,” Heather Tilert, Director of Preschool Content, Netflix offers. “These beloved stories have been a core part of families’ libraries for many years and it gives me great pride that we are bringing them to our catalog of Netflix shows, in a fresh and modern way that resonates with audiences today.”
Netflix reveals new Red Fish, Blue Fish trailer

Here’s how Netflix describes the program for young viewers. “Red Fish, Blue Fish is a preschool comedy which follows the adventures of an odd couple of two fish friends as they explore and introduce opposite concepts.”
Red Fish, Blue Fish tabs Dustin Ferrer as director. On the development side, Steven Conner is producing. Alec Nielson and Kevin Del Aguila wrote the Netflix series. Becky Friedman is the showrunner for Red Fish, Blue Fish. Songwriting duties are in Rob Cantor’s wheelhouse with composition from Vidjay Beerepoot. Atomic Cartoons is proud to be the animation studio for Red Fish, Blue Fish. Naomi Tan is the narrator with Brian Drummon serving as the voice of Red Fish and Adream Libman as Blue Fish.
