Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba–Infinity Castle took over Hall H this weekend at San Diego Comic-Con. The massive anime spectacle gave fans in attendance their first peek at the new film. LiSA kicked things off with an amazing performance that got the crowd into the vibe early. Director Haruo Sotozaki and Director of Photography Yuichi Terao strolled on-stage. They weren’t alone, voice acting stars Natsuki Hanae (Tanjiro Kamado) and Aleks Le (Zenitsu Agatsuma) took their places in Hall H. Everyone in attendance couldn’t wait to hear what they had to say about the new Demon Slayer movie.

The concept of this final battle is something that rings throughout the trailer for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba–Infinity Castle. Everyone involved has been really careful to keep the larger interactions and stories under wraps. But, Tanjiro’s voice actor had a tiny tease that sent an excited murmur through the crowd.

“I can’t really tell you what’s going to happen in the movie,” Hanae teased everyone in attendance. “You know, maybe Tanjiro is going to go up against Akaza. In Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, Tanjiro couldn’t do anything, so it’s going be a spectacle to see how much Tanjiro has grown since the last film…”

From there, attendees got an exclusive look at a small section of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba–Infinity Castle. It’s beautiful animation. And, the balance between 2D and 3D elements is basically unmatched. If you love Demon Slayer, you’re going to be counting down the minutes on the clock until you see the full spectacle.
