Sesame Street heads to Netflix, and we’ve got a brand-new trailer. November 10, fans welcome back Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Elmo, and all of their friends. Netflix’s new clip teases a bright new era for the family favorite. Sesame Street Season 56 comes in delightful 11-minute intervals for young viewers. There are lessons about compassion, uplifting friends, and navigating problems. Navigating life with these skills is way easier! Check out the new trailer below!

Executive producer Sal Perez offered some thoughts on the new episodes: “Season 56 reimagines Sesame Street, inviting children into the action and bringing them hand-in-hand through high-stakes stories, powerful learning moments, and laugh-out-loud surprises. And, as always, Sesame Street’s curriculum is designed to meet children’s most pressing needs — so our focus this season is on kindness and compassion, something we can all use more of today.”

  • Elmo’s Pretend: When everyday moments spark his imagination, Elmo jumps into action. Enhanced by animation overlays, children can play with Elmo through imaginative anything-can-happen storytelling.   
  • Cookie’s Cookie Cart: In addition to his Foodie Truck, Cookie Monster is expanding with a brand-new Cookie Cart. With delicious experiments and silly daily specials on the menu, there is bound to be cookie chaos!  
  • Grover’s Suity Suitcase: Grover can do just about anything, but sometimes he needs a little help from his Suity Suitcase, a silly contraption that can transform the enthusiastic monster into anything he can imagine in order to help his friends. Children can follow along through imaginative role play and experience exciting transformations alongside their fuzzy blue friend.   
  • Abby’s Magic Beasties: Abby’s Fairy Garden is home to new surprising and delightful magical beasties who she can identify, track, and take care of, including Bunberry who is now her closest Beastie buddy, the musical dragon triplets, and a bug that makes bubbles when it flies. Children will be able to play Abby through collecting and caring for imaginative creatures.
