Splinter Cell: Deathwatch is all set to become the latest entry in the Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell franchise. And not even in game form either. Instead, this will be an animated adaptation that will also be the first animated adaptation of the franchise in its entire history. And to top it all off, it will be a dark and gritty series for Sam Fisher (voiced by Liev Schreiber) to star in to boot. Exactly how dark and gritty will this upcoming series be? Well, that’s why we’re here today.
Netflix is proud to hype up Splinter Cell: Deathwatch with a brand new sneak peek clip showing off the dark and gritty action. Indeed, there’s much blood and gore in this clip. People getting stabbed and slashed and everything. Don’t believe me? Well, you can watch the clip for yourself on YouTube, or just look below:
Splinter Cell: Deathwatch Sneak Peek Shows Off Dark and Gritty Violence
Honestly, that clip does a great job of giving us a sneak peek at Splinter Cell: Deathwatch. Already, I’m anticipating a story as dark and as violent as Max Payne or the John Wick films. The latter is quite appropriate due to Derek Kolstad, the writer behind the John Wick films, being one of the executive producers of the series. Really, you can see the brutality here in how Sam Fisher deals with these two paramilitary guys. I’m already looking forward to something dark and deadly when this series arrives on Netflix on October 14, 2025.
