GOAT is lacing ‘em up next year and Stephen Curry introduced the animated movie today. On February 13, young hoopers get ready to meet Will Harris. He’s the main character of GOAT and determined to prove that “Smalls can ball.” Sony Pictures Animation is a go-to destination for all kinds of impressive effects on-screen. GOAT is no different as you’ve never seen basketball quite like this on the biggest stage.

Some young fans might not know that G.O.A.T. stands for Greatest of All Time. Flipping the concept on its head with a literal goat is a fun twist. Roarball is a lot like basketball, and a tough place for a smaller competitor. Tyree Dillihay directs GOAT with Ada Rosette. It’s a big couple of months for animated animals at the theater. As we get ready for tipoff, here’s how the studio describes the film: “From Sony Pictures Animation, the studio behind Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, comes GOAT, an original action-comedy set in an all-animal world. The story follows Will, a small goat with big dreams who gets a once-in-a-lifetime shot to join the pros and play roarball – a high-intensity, co-ed, full-contact sport dominated by the fastest, fiercest animals in the world. Will’s new teammates aren’t thrilled about having a little goat on their roster, but Will is determined to revolutionize the sport and prove once and for all that ‘smalls can ball!’” 

GOAT features the voice talents of Caleb McLaughlin, Gabrielle Union, Stephen Curry, Nicola Coughlan, Nick Kroll. Rounding out your starting lineup are David Harbour, Jenifer Lewis, Aaron Pierre, Patton Oswalt, Andrew Santino, Bobby Lee, Eduardo Franco, Sherry Cola, Jelly Roll and Jennifer Hudson.
