Zootopia 2 is headed towards theaters later this fall and we’ve got an official trailer for the movie. Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde are back for another massive case. Their teamwork is going to be put to the test when they have to investigate the arrival of Gary De’Snake to their city. As with the first Zootopia, there’s an all-star ensemble cast of actors playing all these animals. The animation is lush and fans have been waiting for Zootopia 2 for a while now. Check out the new trailer up above for a peek at what’s on the horizon.
Director and writer Jared Bush said, “It’s been an absolute joy to reteam with so many actors who made the first film so special, and so exciting to expand the world with our phenomenal new cast members. Walt Disney Animation Studios teases what our animal friends are up against this time: “After cracking the biggest case in Zootopia’s history, rookie cops Judy Hopps (voice of Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (voice of Jason Bateman) find their partnership isn’t as solid as they thought when Chief Bogo (voice of Idris Elba) orders them to join the Partners in Crisis counseling program. But it doesn’t take long for their partnership to be put to the ultimate test when they find themselves on the twisting trail of a mystery tied to the arrival of a venomous snake in the animal metropolis.”
Zootopia 2 welcomes Ke Huy Quan into the city as Gary De’Snake! Fortune Feimster plays Nibbles. If you recognize the delightful tones of Dr. Fuzzby, that’s because it’s Quinta Brunson of Abbott Elementary fame. There are so many famous names returning for Zootopia 2 and Disney is really excited for fans to welcome themselves back into this fan-favorite after the time away!
