So far, DAN DA DAN Season 2 is kicking ass and taking names. Momo, Okarun, and Jiji are having a blast on their supernatural adventures, even if they turn out to be quite a bit more…exciting (not to mention horrific) than they might wish it to be. But hey, that’s okay. It’s all for the audience. Namely: us, who are quite entertained by all the horror going on, as well as the comedy. Both are the prime reasons why this anime adaptation of Yukinobu Tatsu‘s manga of the same name is so wildly popular.

In fact, that popularity is why we’re here today. GKIDS is proud to hype up the ongoing second season of DAN DA DAN, now at its halfway point, with an epic music clip. The clip comes straight from the English dub of Ep. 18 “We Became a Family”, and features the in-setting performance of HAYASii for an exorcism of evil proportions. A performance that features the voice of Marc Hudson as the lead singer of this head-banging event. Fans of power metal will recognize him as the lead singer for DragonForce, which he started belting out tunes for in 2011 when he started out with “Cry Thunder”.

Don’t believe me? Well, give the clip a listen to for yourself on YouTube, or just look below:

DAN DA DAN Rocks Out with DragonForce Singer

When living and dead alike rock out to your voice, you know you got it made.

Honestly, this performance is likely what will sear DAN DA DAN Ep. 18 “We Became a Family” into your minds. There’s really no mistaking that epic voice raging against the night, and making living and dead alike headbang to the rhythm of the beat. The fact that it is basically DragonForce performing in this in the fight to exorcise Jiji is what makes the whole thing so amazingly epic. Seriously, if you don’t know the context behind this clip, watch the previous episodes. I can guarantee that you won’t be disappointed.
