DAN DA DAN is one of the hottest new anime out there right now. A lot of it has to do with that amazing first season that aired/streamed back in October 4, 2024. That 12-episode first season has all but ensured that it’s a mainstream anime now. Not bad for an odd little Shonen Jump manga by Yukinobu Tatsu. The fact that that first season left off on a cliffhanger might also be responsible for why there’s so much hype around this upcoming second season.

In fact, that season 2 is why we’re here today. DAN DA DAN has just shown off the new ending theme song for their upcoming second season. Said theme song is “Doukashiteru” by WurtS. In fact, WurtS himself has a few words to say about this below:

“I’m WurtS, and I’m performing the ending theme for the DAN DA DAN anime. As a huge fan of both the manga and the anime, I’m truly honored to be part of this project. In this crazy world where various life forms suddenly appear, I wanted to capture the characters’ complicated feelings—awkward but full of longing. We’ve packed all that excitement and heart-throbbing emotion into this wonderful song. Thank you so much, and I hope you enjoy it.”

So you might ask how did they show off that ending theme song? Well, mostly by posting a clip from that upcoming second season featuring the song as an insert. You can watch that 30-second long trailer either on YouTube, or just look below:

Honestly, this is one of the few occasions we’ve gotten to see what this upcoming second season is like, and it’s a pretty good teaser of it in general. Both the light-heated comedy and the dark shonen fantasy action are on full display here. Honestly, it makes me pretty excited for the next season of DAN DA DAN. Especially since that little trailer reminds us that second season will make its debut on July 3, 2025. You can watch it either on Crunchroll, Hulu, or Netflix; just like with the first season.
