Summer time makes for a great boba tea season, and Adam McArthur hosted the best party during San Diego Comic-Con. The Yuji Itadori and Reno Ichikawa actor stopped by The Hashtag Show suite to talk anime and The Super Awesome Boba Party meetup with Thrilljoy. First things first, his work on Kaiju No. 8 is really fun and fans are not ready.
“Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 is airing right now on Crunchyroll,” he began. “It’s nuts, dub and sub airing at the same time. I tell everyone, support the shows that drop dub and sub at the same time. They are trying out things at Crunchyroll and we want them to keep doing that!”
The star had a humorous response when reflecting on how wild it is to have both the japanese voice track and the dub available so quickly. “We are in the future,” MacArthur joked. “We are living in the future right now.”
Adam McArthur on Getting Boba with Fans

Its been seven years of getting Boba at San Diego Comic Con with Adam McArthur. This time, our friend Zeno Robinson stopped by to hang with fans and bond over anime. It’s always nice to see community form around a shared interest. Nothing goes together quite like boba tea and anime. Seeing the pictures from the event really puts into perspective how much people love and look forward to this meetup every year.
“This was for fans that didn’t necessarily want to get didn’t have SDCC badges. So, it was something that they could participate in, whether they had a badge or not. It was basically touted as like, ‘Just come hang out with us.’ Let’s talk about the things that we love. Star vs The Forces of Evil and things like that. So, you can come. Everyone knows I love boba, so come and have a boba with me.”
