May I Ask for One Final Thing? Ep. 2-3 continues the story of Lady Scarlet as she goes on a quest to punch the unjust. All because it’s just so satisfying to punch evildoers in the face. Oh, and because it’s the right thing to do, of course. Especially when doing so gains her new allies.
May I Ask for One Final Thing? Ep. 2-3: Details in Brief

May I Ask for One Final Thing? Ep. 2-3 are the second and third episodes (you can read my review of Ep. 1 (and others) here) of this anime series. Said anime is the anime adaptation of the light novel series and manga series of the same name by writer Nana Ōtori, with Satsuki as the artist for the light novels, and Sora Hōnoki as the artist for the manga.
Liden Films Kyoto Studio (The Heroic Legend of Arslan, Goblin Slayer S2, Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider) is the animation studio behind this anime. Kazuya Sakamoto is the director behind the anime, with Deko Akao as the writer, and Hinako Tsubakiyama as the composer.
Synopsis
Alas, May I Ask for One Final Thing? is an ongoing anime series. In fact, Ep. 3 only just made its debut on October 10, 2025 on Crunchyroll. Thus, to avoid spoilers for this anime for those who haven’t watched it yet, here’s the synopsis for the following episodes:
Ep. 2 “May I Offer You the Taste of My Fist as the Ladylike Thing to Do?”:
Scarlet’s behavior at the ball has unexpected consequences, including a direct attempt on her life!
Ep. 3 “I Considered a Negotiated Resolution, but May I Biff and Pow Those Noblemen Instead?”:
To take down the kingdom’s slave trader, Scarlet negotiates access to the upcoming slave auction.
May I Ask for One Final Thing? Ep. 2-3: The Good
Since I will be covering two episodes here, I will split this section into two parts:
Ep. 2 “May I Offer You the Taste of My Fist as the Ladylike Thing to Do?”

It’s not hard to see why this episode is good if you liked the first episode of May I Ask for One Final Thing?. Ep. 2 “May I Offer You the Taste of My Fist as the Ladylike Thing to Do?” is basically the same, but we get to see more of it. Honestly, seeing Scarlet El Vandimion (voiced by Asami Seto (JP) and Morgan Lauré (EN)) go around punching jerkasses in the face and other sensitive parts is still one of the most satisfying things I’ve seen in a while in any anime.
Funnily enough though, she doesn’t just go around punching people willy-nilly. Despite what she says, she does seem to have a code of justice to her violence. She gives people a beatdown only if she thinks they deserve it, while she redirects anger towards those she thinks don’t deserve it into inanimate objects. Even the false maid who attempted to ambush her in her sleep got a surprise punch rather than a full-on beatdown, which shows that she does have a depth of character beyond merely wanting to punch people. All in spite of what she would describe herself, mind you.
All with pretty good animation to boot. Even the non-actiony parts of the episode show some smooth animation and detailed designs. However, the fight scenes are where Liden Films Kyoto Studio kicks into high gear. The animation gets intensely fluid to match the intensity of Scarlet’s beatdowns. They even take the time to slow down the action in places just to show off how smooth the animation is. It makes watching the beatdowns as satisfying for us as it is for Scarlet.
Ep. 3 “I Considered a Negotiated Resolution, but May I Biff and Pow Those Noblemen Instead?”

The title of this episode really shows off the wonderful mix of comedy and action that characterizes May I Ask for One Final Thing? Ep. 3 “I Considered a Negotiated Resolution, but May I Biff and Pow Those Noblemen Instead?”. We even get to see more character development from Scarlet as she shows off that she can, in fact, show restraint when needs be. She does let it slip when she is in danger, of course, but the fact that she can show restraint is a fun character trait here, especially since everyone else is just as surprised by that restraint as we are.
As you can tell by now, the entire story revolves around Scarlet, and in a good way to boot. We get to see her character being explored in depths that are reminiscent of the greatest of authors. A good main character is a big part of what makes a story interesting, after all. And by all accounts, Nana Ōtori has succeeded with Scarlet. We even get hints that she may be autistic with her inexpressive face and her difficulty in navigating social situations, which only further makes her personality interesting to us and to her allies. Especially her love interest Prince Julius von Paristan (voiced by Wataru Katoh (JP) and Reagan Murdock (EN)).
May I Ask for One Final Thing? Ep. 2-3: The Bad

Honestly, my one complaint about May I Ask for One Final Thing? Ep. 2-3 applies to both episodes: I wish this story was a yuri story. Now don’t get me wrong. The romance between Scarlet and Julius is very wonderfully written, and I do love their interactions with each other. I just wish that it was a yuri relationship instead. There’s something about this story that’s just begging for yuri, especially in how Scarlet punches out men left and right. Alas, this does not appear to be that kind of story, but at least I can dream.
On another note though, this is definitely a very action-packed anime despite its appearances. If you want more though, then you might want to check out Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Kaiju No. 8, DDDD, DAN DA DAN, Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online II, Zenshu, Blue Box, Solo Leveling, Black Butler, Nyaight of the Living Cat, and/or Spy x Family. If you want more relaxing anime, or at least more slowly-paced, then you might want to watch Senpai is an Otokonoko, Apocalypse Hotel, Spice and Wolf: Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf, The Ancient Magus’ Bride, and/or My Dress-Up Darling.
