May I Ask for One Final Thing? gives us a new arc with Ep. 6 “May I Send This Pig Flying Into the Sky?” and Ep. 7 “May I Carry Out a Plan That Shows a New Side of You?”. All involving a great deal of religious strife in the land that Scarlet calls home, and also a bisexual awakening in that land’s key religious figure.

Synopsis

This doesn’t tell the full story, but at least Scarlet is having fun.

Alas, May I Ask for One Final Thing? is an ongoing anime series. In fact, Ep. 7 “May I Carry Out a Plan That Shows a New Side of You?” only made its debut on November 7, 2025 exclusively on Crunchyroll. Thus, to avoid spoilers for this anime for those who haven’t watched it yet, here’s the official synopsis from Crunchyroll for:

Ep. 6 “May I Send This Pig Flying Into the Sky?”:

“Scarlet is to accompany Saint Diana’s Holy Land Pilgrimage, but the servants of Palmianism stand in her way.”

Ep. 7 “May I Carry Out a Plan That Shows a New Side of You?”:

“Diana explores new feelings while Scarlet explores a festival looking for new people to punch.”

May I Ask for One Final Thing? Ep. 6-7: The Good

Since this review of May I Ask for One Final Thing? Ep. 6-7 covers multiple episodes, this review shall also be split into two parts, starting with:

Ep. 6 “May I Send This Pig Flying Into the Sky?”

The yuri is very real in this episode.

Ep. 6 “May I Send This Pig Flying Into the Sky?” actually introduces us to a new character who looks as if she will be a recurring main character, or at least an important side character: Saint Diana (voiced by Kaori Maeda (JP) and Jad Saxton (EN)). Her introduction to the story is significant because much of her interactions with Scarlet (voiced by Asami Seto (JP) and Morgan Lauré (EN)) heavily, heavily imply that she is romantically attracted to her.

In fact, the yuri subtext is so overt that it might as well be supertext. Her comparison of Scarlet to a “knight in shining armor” (and to Scarlet’s face, no less) is one of the more explicit examples of that supertext. Diana is just hinting to Scarlet so hard that she has lesbian interests in her that it’s almost painful to see Scarlet not get it in the slightest. Still, it’s good to see some yuri appear in this anime, at least.

Of course, yuri isn’t the only good thing about this episode. The comedy action that Scarlet provides when she puts the beatdown on people who well and truly deserve it (in this case: religious fanatics trying to disrupt a religious ceremony of a rival religion being headed by Diana). The action part is obvious from the stylish beatings she gives them all prior to their arrests, all thanks to the animation team at Liden Films Kyoto Studio. The comedy is more subtle, with much of it coming from the fanatics themselves as they react in increasingly improbable and hilariously outraged ways prior to their ass-kicking.

Ep. 7 “May I Carry Out a Plan That Shows a New Side of You?”

And this is when Diana realizes that she’s bi.

Ep. 7 “May I Carry Out a Plan That Shows a New Side of You?” steps up the comedy by giving us a new subplot: Diana’s realization that she is bisexual, thanks to a prince-like rescue from Scarlet’s brother Leonardo (voiced by Shōya Ishige (JP) and Alex Hom (EN)). The result is a dash of hilarious romantic comedy that, for once, doesn’t involve Scarlet and Julius (voiced by Wataru Katoh (JP) and Reagan Murdock (EN)). We will have to see how the relationship between Diana and Leonardo develops, but at the moment, it looks quite touching.

However, this episode doesn’t skimp on the action. Indeed, Scarlet’s beatdown of some delinquent (and heavily implied to be drunk) adventurers causing destructive mischief and mayhem is one of the highlights of the episode. Not only that, but the lore implications suggest that Scarlet may have to put the screws on her nation’s adventurer guild at some point in the future. It’s hard to imagine it as anything but a mercenary organization of criminal proportions with the way the story depicts them as. We will have to wait and see what that story holds for us there in the future.

May I Ask for One Final Thing? Ep. 6-7: The Bad

She’s being solemn for the yuri.

Alas, despite the presence of yuri in May I Ask for One Final Thing? Ep. 6-7, it’s a fleeting thing. Not only that, but it feels…overwritten by Diana’s own bisexuality. On one hand, her bisexual awakening doesn’t appear to have altered her feelings for Scarlet in the slightest. On the other hand, the whole subplot with Diana and Leonardo feels a bit…forced. There was no indication or foreshadowing that Leonardo was even there at the religious event right up until he rode in on a horse and saved Diana from a bad fall. Frankly, the story could’ve benefited more had Diana just become part of a bisexual love triangle between her, Scarlet, and Julius. Your mileage may vary here though, and the developing romance between Diana and Leonardo is well-written enough that it’s hard to complain too much about it.
