As you might expect from a superhero action-adventure story, My Hero Academia has a very strong focus on physicality. It’s why it tends to intersect with sports quite nicely, especially since part of the story does in fact involve superpowered sports. And with how popular the manga/anime by Kōhei Horikoshi is, it’s really no wonder that merch for them is becoming just as popular, especially when you go into sports apparel. In fact, that’s why we’re here today, and not for the first time either.
Crunchyroll is proud to announce a teamup with TOHO animation, the National Basketball Association (NBA), NBALAB, and HYPERFLY to bring about a second My Hero Academia apparel crossover. And for the second time too, since there was a first crossover apparel launch in 2023 at Las Vegas’ NBA Con, featuring merchandise for the New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State Warriors, and more.
This upcoming new apparel will feature something similar, with various My Hero Academia featured alongside various teams such as the Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks, Golden State Warriors, and more. Alas, there’s no way to actually purchase or even preorder this apparel line right now. However, they will be available to purchase either online at BoxLunch, or at the NBA flagship store on Fifth Avenue during New York Comic Con 2025 (NYCC 2025).
