The Beginning After the End seems like your typical isekai anime at first glance. However, a closer look reveals that it’s a bit atypical of the usual isekai slop. At the very least, it doesn’t feature a Japanese salaryman being isekaied by Truck-kun. In fact, it looks to be shaping up to be a pretty epic high fantasy story. All featuring some impressive animation from Studio A-Cat (She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wise Man, HIGHSPEED Étoile) and starring a king who finds himself reborn after his untimely demise. It would seem this combo is producing some wonderful reception from audiences.

In fact, the reception is so wonderful that the anime has some good news for us, all through their streaming service. Crunchyroll is proud to announce that The Beginning After the End will be getting a second season, and that second season is currently in the works. That second season will make its premiere sometime in Spring 2026. It’s not an exact date, but it will do for now. At least, until they have more info for us as we get closer to that release date. Possibly even after the first season finishes airing.

The Beginning After the End Announces Season 2 Before Season 1 Has Even Ended

Alas, the fact that it does look like your typical isekai is kinda off-putting for me.

That’s the funny thing about this announcement. The first season hasn’t even finished yet. The finale for The Beginning After the End will stream only on Crunchyroll on Wednesday, June 18 at 10:25 a.m. PT / 1:25 p.m. ET. That clip above is basically a teaser of what’s about to happen next week. By all accounts, this is an indicator that the anime is doing very well. Might be worth a watch for me one of these days. At the very least, you might want to check it out as well.
