Magic: The Gathering is a fantasy trading card game by designer Richard Garfield based around a setting heavily inspired by Dungeon & Dragons (D&D). Meanwhile, Avatar: The Last Airbender is an award-winning animated fantasy TV series by showrunners Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. So what do these two franchises, both award-winning, have in common with each other? Well, normally, not much. However, everything changes with this story.
BoxLunch is proud to announce a collaboration between Magic: The Gathering and Avatar: The Last Airbender for an exclusive capsule collection. This collection will consist of 14 new pieces of apparel and bags that includes things like “a reversible windbreaker, jerseys, wovens, a crossbody bag, a hoodie, and more”. All featuring art of A:TLA done in the style of MTG. You can see examples of that art below:

This entire Magic: The Gathering x Avatar: The Last Airbender capsule collection made its debut on November 21, 2025. You can purchase the collection either in person at BoxLunch stores, or head on over to their official webstore. However, shoppers who spend over $50 of eligible purchases in-store will receive “a special BoxLunch exclusive promo card of Iroh, The Grand Lotus”. Also however, this will only be while supplies last, so if you can head to a store in person, you might want to hurry.
Magic: The Gathering x Avatar: The Last Airbender Capsule Collection Now Available from BoxLunch
Honestly, all this new apparel looks great. Granted, there’s very little Magic: The Gathering in this new capsule collection. However, if you’re a fan of Avatar: The Last Airbender, then this is the collection for you. These clothes look like great additions to your wardrobe if you want the Gaang and the various Avatars popping out in there. The special MTG trading cards are just cherries on top of the cake at this point.
