Look up! It’s time for another rousing weekend of What We’re Watching this weekend on That Hashtag Show. Superman is already thrilling audiences and that’s going to continue for a while. On your couch, there’s Love Island to consume your entire timeline too. We’ve entered “peak summer” folks. Let’s highlight some winners!
Superman – In Theaters Now

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s James Gunn’s bold reimagining of Superman for 2025. Funny enough, it looks a lot like classic Superman honestly. David Corenswet is The Man of Tomorrow across from Nicholas Hoult’s diabolical Lex Luthor. It’s fun, colorful, and gives a sense of hope that people are basically crying out for now. Look up at the screen and feel the joy.
Love Island – Now Streaming
Everyone with social media has heard about the current season of Love Island. No matter what the year is, or what’s going down outside, people are going to gather around for some bonafide drama. Love Island has always been a standard-bearer when it comes to reality shows and this current season solidifies it’s standing. Yes, things are crowded, but this belongs near the top of the pile.
Countdown – Streaming on Prime Video
Jensen Ackles is always busy, and this summer is no exception. Enter Countdown on Prime Video. There’s action and suspense in this thriller package. It’s a race against time to figure out who’s behind a murder of a Homeland Security agent. Despite that premise, LAPD detective Mark Meachum is going to head a secret task force that rises above it’s trappings.
Foundation – Streaming on Apple TV+
Apple TV+ seems to have about 1,000,000 of these space opera epics running at once. But, they keep ending up on “Best of” lists and that’s hard to argue with. Season 3 brings back Foundation, which is going to thrill fans of the TV program and maybe further confuse people who read the books this show has been built on. Worth a watch for sci-fi fans.
Dexter: Resurrection – Streaming on Paramount+
Michael C. Hall returns as Dexter Morgan in Paramount+’s revival series. It’s a sequel of Dexter, but casts off a lot of that last season in the hopes to continue the wild nature of the original series. When this got announced, people were jazzed because Dexter’s original run was truly excellent. Those fans will be pleased by Dexter: Resurrection.
