Knott’s Scary Farm has a deep reverence for its mazes during their Halloween event. Their panel at Midsummer Scream 2025 was all about the two mazes that would have their last voyages during the event. They talked about The Grimoire and Mesmer: Sideshow of the Mind for their final hurrahs. The panel was all about these two but teased a new maze coming to Knott’s Scary Farm for 2025. Let’s dive in.

Starting off with The Grimoire, the maze was almost a casualty of the COVID-19 pandemic. It wasn’t even supposed to be in the place it currently resides in the park. For its last year, you’ll be able to go through the Goonies-inspired maze. They showed off the floor plan and some of the changes made by COVID because of social distancing and other issues stemming from the pandemic.

They went through the design details of The Grimoire, including the characters. It was nice to see them go pretty deep into what easter eggs and how these characters came to be.

Next up entering the fog for 2025 was Mesmer: Sideshow of the Mind.

They similarly went into Mesmer and how that maze got made. It was also a maze made during the COVID-19 pandemic and had to have changes made because of it. One interesting tidbit about the maze was that they almost had guests walking through with headphones to hear the commands throughout. That had to be scrapped due to sanitary issues, but that would definitely have been cool.

Knotts Brings Out The Boulet Brothers For Their Own Event

If it sounds like this presentation was a bit light, that’s because it was! Knotts brought out the Boulet Brothers to announce they would be hosting their event, Nightmares Revealed, this week where they’re showing off the lineup for Knott’s Scary Farm 2025. The event is sold out, but they did have select tickets available for people in attendance at the panel. That event should show off the newest maze for the event, that they did tease a bit with a victorian-theme of someone cleaning blood up off a carpet.

I will say that it feels a bit cheap for them to do an entire panel on two houses that we already know and love, and not mention anything new, like every other haunt/theme park panel did. But that’s how Knott’s Scary Farm operates and has operated for the past couple of years.

This panel was informative, still, so very much worth watching for a haunt enjoyer.

You can buy tickets for Knott’s Scary Farm on their website.
