The people of The Toxic Avenger panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2025 had some really simple instructions. Whether it was the panelists saying it or Kevin Bacon singing it, it was quite simple. Show. The. F*ck. Up.

They left a radioactive impression on the biggest Hall of SDCC and gave us an insider look at what we can expect from the film. The panel included Writer & Director Macon Blair, Troma Co-Founder Lloyd Kaufman, Peter Dinklage, Elijah Wood, Jacob Tremblay and Taylour Paige moderated by IMDb’s Head of Programming Bret Federigan. 

To kick it off, Lloyd Kaufman physically passed off the mop of Toxie to Macon Blair. It was a surreal moment that showed how much Kaufman approves of Blair’s director job on the upcoming reimagining of the film.

Overall, the panel in Hall H was a great celebration of all things Toxie. We got some details about the performance of Toxie from Peter Dinklage. He said that the performance of Toxie was about 70% of the stunt performer and the rest was him. And then they went in after the fact and put Dinklage’s voice over in post-production.

Everyone on the panel had incredible things to say about the film and everyone really had good things to say about Jacob Tremblay and his performance in the film. Lloyd Kaufman went as far as to say he’s a future star.

The most hilarious moment of the panel was during the Q&A portion with fans. There was an offhand comment about how Peter Dinklage has played a tyrant in in career, which he questioned. Well, someone from the crowd yelled “you played one in Elf!”, which Dinklage took exception to. Lo and behold, someone dressed as Buddy the Elf asked Dinklage a question to a thunderous applause and laughter from the crowd.

The footage they showed off was some stuff that we’ve already seen, but they did save the best for last. They showed us Dinklage’s transformation into The Toxic Avenger. That was awesome and definitely made me even more excited to see The Toxic Avenger in theaters.

That’s really the moral of this story, show up, see the movie, and enjoy it.
