We hope you’re ready for some scares in What to Watch This Weekend here on THS. Spooky season, but a couple of months too early is the theme of this week. We’ve got monkeys gone rogue with Primate. Greenland 2: Migration manages to weave a heartfelt story. And, Dead Man’s Wire sets the scene for an explosive 2026. Let’s jump in to what’s on offer!
Primate – In theaters this weekend

Are you looking for an absolutely brutal back to basics horror flick? Well Primate is going to scratch that itch. Johannes Roberts’ directorial outing sees a group of friends trapped with a monkey that isn’t quite itself. The kills are brutal, the action is palpable, and there’s a ton of practical effects at work here. So, if you love horror flicks, especially ones that don’t overstay their welcome, Primate could be king of the jungle.
Greenland 2: Migration – In theaters this weekend
Gerard Butler and Morena Baccarin star in the follow up Greenland. The Garrity family is tasked with traveling from the safety of their Greenland bunker to find a new home. A comet strike has effectively ended what once was the order of Earth. Director Rick Roman Waugh Weaves a heart rending tale of survival and suspense in this thriller. If you saw the first Greenland, you’ll get a lot of emotional mileage out of this one.
Dead Man’s Wire – In theaters this weekend.
Director Gus Van Sant Takes on a true story of entrepreneur Tony Kiritsis. In 1977, a kidnapping turns otherwise normal man into folk hero of sorts. Bill Skarsgard Dockery Montgomery Coleman Domingo Carrie Elwis Al Pacino and more star in this delightful movie so early in the year. You don’t come to a filmmaker like Van Sant without expecting A certain amount of style, and it’s here in spades.
The Pitt – Streaming on HBO Max

The biggest show on TV returns with Noah Wiley set for another amazing season on the hit medical drama. Fifteen episodes, in a rarity for the streaming era, are waiting for fans starting this week. The Pitt Runs weekly episodes with a season finale coming on April 16th. You already know about this show, but we have to mention it here. High marks across the board
His & Hers – Streaming on Netflix
Tessa Thompson and John Bernthal star in this twisty thriller over on Netflix. Bernthal is a detective on a mission to get the truth and Thompson is a reporter who finds herself drawn into this larger case. Things get even more tense as they are revealed as exes. And, each one believes the other is the prime suspect in the murder they’re both hot on the trail of. Eminently bingeable.
The Traitors – Streaming on Peacock
The television event at this point. Host Alan Cumming takes some of your favorite celebrities into a web of lies and deceit. Donna Kelce, Lisa Rinna, Michael Rapaport, Mone Exchange and more vied for supremacy on this season of the Traders. Peacock knows how much you all love this, and has amped up the marketing tenfold. As they should, it’s a good time.
