It’s about damn time that someone else tries to take up the holiday slasher mantle. We’ve had Thanksgiving, but only Art the Clown has really tried to take on Christmas, lately. Thankfully, the good folks at Cineverse are bringing that holiday slasher cheer back with Silent Night, Deadly Night. Check out the teaser below.

The new reimagining of the classic slasher comes from Mike P. Nelson, who recently directed a 13-minute vignette for Jason Universe and Friday the 13th called “Sweet Revenge”. It stars Rohan Campbell, Ruby Modine, Mark Acheson, David Lawrence Brown, and David Tomlinson. Here’s the synopsis:

A reimagining of the controversial 1984 cult horror classic – When Billy witnesses his parents’ grisly murder on Christmas Eve at the hands of Santa, it ignites a lifelong mission to spread holiday fear. Every Christmas, he dons the jolly red suit and delivers a blood-soaked massacre to feed his twisted sense of justice. This Christmas Eve, Billy wants to know: “Have you been naughty?”

Slent Night, Deadly Night releases in theaters on December 12th, 2025.
