By all accounts, Sinners is a jaw-droppingly fantastic film. Ever since it made its debut on April 3, 2025 at AMC Lincoln Square, it has wild acclaim from critics and audiences alike. All while making a massive amount of profit at the box office, grossing $362 million worldwide overall. Not bad for a horror musical film from director Ryan Coogler (Creed, Black Panther, Judas and the Black Messiah).

It’s for all of those reasons that everyone is looking forward to the film being available for the home theater, and fortunately, that will soon be available. Warner Bros. Pictures is proud to announce that they will soon make Sinners available to stream exclusively on Max. In fact, as of this writing, that debut date is only a few weeks away on Friday, July 4, 2025. The film will then make its cable debut the next day on HBO linear on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at 8:00 p.m. ET.

Curious as to what Sinners is actually about? Well, Warner Bros. Pictures also has an official trailer for the film. You can watch it on YouTube, or just look below:

Where racism meets the supernatural is the heart of this film.

Honestly, this is the first I’ve heard of Sinners before seeing this trailer, and it already looks fantastic. It’s a very deeply historical film, drawing upon the roots of African-American history back in the 1930’s and even earlier. It also draws upon those same roots for the culture and music of the film, both of which are highly important since a juke joint is at the center of the film’s story. All in all, if you want a horror film that also makes you think very deeply about America’s history of racism, then this looks like the film for you. Honestly, I’m probably going to watch it myself at some point.
