“Bambi: The Reckoning” is the latest feature film in the Twisted Childhood Universe. This, following “Winnie-The-Pooh: Blood and Honey and its sequel. As well as “Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare”. The film is currently playing in theaters, as it takes on the classic tale of a grief-stricken deer, but with a horror twist from Jagged Edge Productions and ITN Studios.
A CHAT WITH THE DIRECTOR
With the release of “Bambi: The Reckoning”, I spoke with director Dan Allen about the film. One of the main topics of conversation was the design and of the mutated deer itself and how it would be used on screen. This included keeping in mind the fact that it also needed to work indoors, so finding the right size was important. We also talk about why its so fun to take these beloved classic characters and twist them into something horrific. It’s a great chat that you can check out below!
