The life of a serial killer isn’t exactly the best for maintaining friendships, but throughout the years Dexter has managed to do so with Angel Bautista (David Zayas). Unfortunately, it seems that after finding out that Dexter faked his death, Bautista has had time to think. Currently suspects his old friend as being the infamous Bay Harbor Butcher, and he will stop at nothing to find out the truth.
Dexter: Resurrection introduces Ntare Mbaho Mwine as Blessing Kamara, a rideshare driver in New York City who quickly becomes close to Dexter. Blessing is everything Dexter is not. It is easy to see that things between them will eventually come to a head, but how, when, and why remain a mystery. Like Bautista in the original series, Blessing is the friend Dexter needs but doesn’t deserve.
We were able to sit down with stars David Zayas and Ntare Mbaho Mwine at the New York City junket. We discussed how it felt to return to the series, how it felt to join it, and what it means to be close to Dexter Morgan.
