Don’t blame yourself if you haven’t heard of Dream Eater so far in 2025. The film is made from an up-and-coming production house called The Horror Section. They’re trying to get the word out that horror filmmakers don’t need to fall into the studio system to get their movies made. They were founded in 2025 by Eli Roth and serves horror fans by owning and controlling a premium intellectual property library of unhinged films, TV series, and games.
Dream Eater is one of their first titles they’ve put out and features the directing trio of Alex Lee Wiliams, Mallory Drumm, and Jay Drakulic. I was lucky enough to sit down with them to talk all things Dream Eater. Check out the interview below.
From the conversation, there’s several exctiing things on the horizon, one is that they are definitely planning on picking up where Dream Eater left off, and two, is that they’re putting the movie out on physical media like Blu-ray, so that we can enjoy it at home whenever and wherever.
If you haven’t seen Dream Eater, you need to, it’s one of the best found footage films and really just one of the best horror movies of the year. It’s out on Digital right now on Amazon and Fandango At Home. The wintery setting might be the perfect thing for those post-Thanksgiving food coma hazes out there.
