It’s been a few years since 2022’s Jurassic World: Dominion, and now there is finally a new film to fill the void. Though the road to this film has been somewhat rocky since 2015’s initial Jurassic World reboot, that is not to say that there have not been standout moments along the way. Jurassic World: Rebirth feels like a culmination of all of those things, and a refreshing deviation from the normal formula.

With dinosaurs dead everywhere but the equator and in zoos, public interest in them has waned significantly since their rerelease. This opinion has severely handicapped Dr. Henry Loomis’s (Jonathan Bailey) job as a dinosaur expert, but paved the way for people like Duncan Kincaid (Mahershala Ali). When Martin Krebs (Rupert Friend) recruits Zora Bennett (Scarlet Johansson) to assist him with harvesting blood from dinosaurs for a heart drug that could save millions, they bring on Loomis and Kincaid to round out their team.

Along the way, however, things don’t go as planned when they rescue a family from a capsized boat. Reuben Delago (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), and his daughters Teresa (Luna Blaise) and Bella (Audrina Miranda), along with Bella’s boyfriend Xavier (David Iacono) are taken along for the ride, whether they want to or not.

We were incredibly fortunate to be able to sit down at the New York City junket for the film to talk to stars David Iacono, Luna Blaise, and Audrina Miranda.

ABOUT JURASSIC WORLD: REBIRTH

The dinosaurs have been out in the world for some time now, and people have lost interest. Now they have died out everywhere besides around the equator, where passage is illegal. So when Martin Krebs wants to put a team together to harvest DNA from dinosaurs for a revolutionary new heart drug, he needs to find a group of people who understand how dangerous the journey is. Along the way they rescue a family from a capsized sailboat, who end up stranded on the island and facing the dinosaurs alongside them.

In addition, the film also stars Scarlet Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, and Mahershala Ali, Rupert Friend, and Manuel Garcia-Delgado.
