“Scared to Death” the horror/comedy from Paul Boyd is now is now playing in select theaters, just in time for Friday the 13th. The film follows a film crew that is looking to make a horror movie. But for research purposes they decide to visit an abandoned orphanage and have a séance. You can only image how that ends. Or better yet, watch the movie.

GETTING TO KNOW LIN SHAYE

With the release of “Scared to Death” I spoke with one of the stars, Lin Shaye. She plays Max, the film’s director. Unfortunately, at one point she ends up possessed. Something Shaye is familiar with as it has also happened to her before in the “Insidious” franchise. She shares with us where she was able to channel that possessed look and if past experiences inspired her director’s attitude. Its a great conversation that you can check out below!

ABOUT “SCARED TO DEATH”

In the film a group of filmmakers attend a séance at an abandoned children’s orphanage to do research for a horror movie. Soon, supernatural events begin to manifest, in both horrific and darkly comical fashion. That’s their first mistake…

The film taps into classic haunted-house tradition while embracing a contemporary edge, creating a theatrical experience that invites audiences to laugh, jump, and react together.
