“Sheepdog” is now playing in theaters. The film written, directed, and stars Steven Grayhm. He plays a U.S. Army combat veteran that is getting court ordered treatment. He is put into the care of a VA trauma therapist in-training played by Virginia Madsen. While most films justifiably focus on the post traumatic stress disorder that a lot of returning veterans suffer, this film dives deeper. It spotlights post traumatic growth (PTG). Thus creating an original uplifting story that is inspired by many real-life accounts.
A CONVERSATION WITH VIRIGINA MADSEN
With the release of Sheepdog, I spoke with actress Virginia Madsen. She shares with me how she got involved with the movie and how Grayhm was able to convince her to star in the film. She extensively talks about how passionate she was about the themes of the film including the inclusion of PTG. As well as her chemistry with Grayhm as most of her scenes are very emotionally heavy scenes with him. It was a phenomenal conversation that you can check out below!
