“Truth & Treason” from Angel Studios is now in theaters. This film follows the incredible tale of a German teenager that finds out everything the Nazi’s have been telling him is a lie. With one of his Jewish friends taken away, he must now make the tough decision of standing up for the truth or conform to the government’s demands. It’s a very timely film that can hopefully be thought provoking for many.

A CHAT WITH THE STARS

With the release of “Truth & Treason”, I spoke with Ewan Horrocks and Joanna Christie. They play Helmuth and Emma Hübener in the film. Horrocks talks about his performance as the lead in the film and how he prepared for the role. Christie talked about her experience on the film as Helmuth’s mother. Both shared their thoughts on that final intense court room scene and how that made them feel. It was a great conversation that you can check out below!

ABOUT ANGEL STUDIOS’ “TRUTH & TREASON”

As World War II rages, a teenage boy in Germany is forced to confront a terrible truth. Loyalty to his country now means loyalty to a lie. When his trusted bishop urges obedience to the Nazi regime, he begins to question everything. After his Jewish friend is taken away, he secretly listens to banned radio broadcasts and launches a resistance, exposing the truth. But in a nation ruled by fear, defiance comes at a cost. As the regime closes in, he must decide what it truly means to be a good German.
