Euphoria Season 3 just dropped another trailer and you can feel the anticipation growing for the show’s return. HBO Max premieres the newest season on April 12th along with HBO. Director Sam Levinson’s Emmy-nominated drama is back. Zendaya returns as Rue, and a lot of the original cast is back in the fold for one last trip around their universe.

Obviously, there’s been a long time between Euphoria Season two and Euphoria Season 3. Rue and all of her friends have grown up and grown out in different directions. But, real drama from the past has a way of finding you in the present. When faced with no other option, can this young woman find a way to carve out a future for herself? It’s an increasingly interesting conversation for not only the characters in this show but the people watching at home.

Here’s how HBO teases the final chapter: “A group of childhood friends wrestle with the virtue of faith, the possibility of redemption, and the problem of evil.

Euphoria drops Season 3’s Second Trailer

Euphoria.

One of the strangest things about this season of Euphoria is that years-long time skip. The characters have been out living their lives, and we’re dropped into the middle of it. Variety talked to Sam Levinson about the decision to move time ahead before season three.

“Five years felt like a natural place because if they’d gone to college they’d be out of college at that time,” Levinson shared. “We basically pick up Rue [Zendaya] south of the border in Mexico, in debt to Laurie [Kelly], trying to come up with some very innovative ways to pay it off.”

Rue’s contemplation asks in the trailer, “ In the beginning, we had to make a choice about who we were and what we wanted. But what we didn’t realize was how far we were willing to go. After all these years, have we finally gone too far?”

Euphoria makes its grand return to HBO and HBO Max on April 12.
