Sony and Marvel have confirmed Bernthal will reprise Frank Castle in Spider‑Man: Brand New Day, the next solo adventure for Peter Parker.
OG fans will always remember Jon Bernthal from The Walking Dead, but let’s be real, he owned the role of Frank Castle when he showed up in Netflix’s Daredevil back in 2016. He crushed it as The Punisher, which quickly earned him his own spin-off series that ran for two seriously killer seasons. And it seems that Frank Castle’s story isn’t over yet. Bernthal officially suited back up this year for Disney+’s Daredevil: Born Again, which is already locked for Season 2. Plus, he’s headlining a brand-new Punisher special dropping in 2026, with Reinaldo Marcus Green in the director’s chair.

As far as we know, Brand New Day picks up after the emotional rollercoaster that was Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021).
