Prime Video has officially dropped the trailer for The Runarounds, a new music-driven drama series set to premiere globally on September 1, 2025. From the creators of Outer Banks, the eight-episode series will be available exclusively on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories.
Set in Wilmington, North Carolina, The Runarounds follows a group of recent high school grads who form a rock band in the summer before adulthood hits full force. Fueled by their passion for music and dreams of stardom, they dive headfirst into a whirlwind season of friendship, romance, mistakes, and music. It’s a coming-of-age story with heart, sound, and soul.

The trailer features the original track “Funny How The Universe Works,” performed by the fictional band, but real-life musicians, at the heart of the show. The first two singles from the series, “Funny How The Universe Works” and “Senior Year,” are now streaming on all major platforms, courtesy of Arista Records. The full soundtrack will drop on September 1, coinciding with the series launch.
Starring William Lipton, Axel Ellis, Jeremy Yun, Zendé Murdock, and Jesse Golliher as the band. The cast also includes Lilah Pate, Maximo Salas, Kelley Pereira, Marley Aliah, Mark Wystrach, Brooklyn Decker, Hayes MacArthur, and Shea Pritchard.
