The Sheep Detectives has a wild new trailer that took us completely off-guard. Hugh Jackman stars as George, a 57-year-old shepherd. There’s just one problem though, He’s dead. And, it’s up to the sheep to solve the murder. MGM Studios took on this delightful little film. The Sheep Detectives has recruited an All Star cast to unravel this mystery alongside Jackman. Nicholas Braun, of Succession fame, Is a police officer in over his head investigating Georgio’s murder. Familiar faces like Molly Gordon, Julia Louis Dreyfus, Bryan Cranston, and more all appear in The Sheep Detectives. But, in a hysterical twist, they all voice the sheep and our shepherd’s flock. This project has managed to bring in a lot of eyeballs despite the strange concept because of all of this talent that writer and producer Craig Mazin has managed to get under one roof. The Sheep Detectives migrates into theaters on May 8th 2026.

The Sheep Detectives stars Hugh Jackman, Nicholas Braun, Nicholas Galitzine, Molly Gordon with Hong Chau and Emma Thompson. Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Bryan Cranston, Chris O’Dowd, Regina Hall, and Patrick Stewart are in the mix. Bella Ramsey, Brett Goldstein, and Rhys Darby join the herd.
