You could watch the same old heartwarming movies over the holidays. Or you could indulge in this new twisty guilty pleasure thriller, The Housemaid.

The Lionsgate feature starring Amanda Seyfried and Sydney Sweeney premieres in theaters this weekend. Based on Freida McFadden’s book of the same name, the story follows Millie (Sweeney), a young woman who accepts a job as a live-in housemaid for the wealthy Winchester family. However, it soon becomes clear that the Winchester’s picture-perfect home isn’t quite what it seems.

The Housemaid is a wildly entertaining thriller starring Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried, based on the best-selling book. Paul Feig (A Simple Favor) directs The Housemaid from Rebecca Sonnenshine’s adapted screenplay. In addition to Seyfried and Sweeney, the film also stars Brandon Sklenar, Michele Morrone, and Elizabeth Perkins.

The Housemaid premieres in theaters December 19.
