Netflix has unveiled the first official look at its upcoming romantic comedy The Wrong Paris, a playful and heartwarming film starring Miranda Cosgrove (iCarly, Despicable Me) and Pierson Fodé (The Bold and the Beautiful, The Man from Toronto). Set to premiere globally on September 12, the film promises a charming twist on reality dating shows and a whole lot of laughs.

Directed by Janeen Damian and written by Nicole Henrich, The Wrong Paris follows the story of a young woman (Cosgrove) who eagerly signs up for a reality dating show, believing it will whisk her away to a romantic adventure in Paris, France. But upon arrival, she discovers she’s actually in Paris, Texas — a far cry from the Eiffel Tower and Champs-Élysées. Determined to be eliminated quickly, she devises a plan to sabotage her chances… until the bachelor (played by Fodé) starts to grow on her in ways she never expected.

The film features an ensemble cast that includes Madison Pettis, Madeleine Arthur, Frances Fisher, Yvonne Orji, Torrance Coombs, Christin Park, Emilija Baranac, Hannah Stocking, and more. Additional cast members include Veronica Long, Naika Toussaint, and Ava Bianchi.

Produced by Brad Krevoy and Michael Damian, and executive produced by Cosgrove herself alongside a team including Janeen Damian, Galen Fletcher, and Amanda Phillips, the film blends humor, heart, and a dash of misdirection. Known for their work in feel-good hits like Falling for Christmas, the Damians bring their signature warmth and comedic timing to this unexpected love story.

With a unique premise, a talented cast, and a September release perfectly timed for cozy movie nights, The Wrong Paris is poised to be one of fall’s most delightful rom-coms. Whether you’re in it for the laughs, the romance, or to see what happens when dreams of the City of Light get rerouted to small-town Texas, this is one Netflix premiere you won’t want to miss.
