Prime Video has released the official trailer for Maintenance Required, a new romantic comedy arriving October 8, 2025. Leading the film is Madelaine Petsch, who has carved out a unique career as both a scream queen and rom-com darling. Horror fans know her from The Strangers: Chapter 1, where she cemented herself as a rising scream queen with grit and intensity. Television audiences fell in love with her as Cheryl Blossom on Riverdale. She’s also shown off her lighter side with a Tubi original romantic comedy, Hotel for the Holidays, proving she can balance heart, humor, and vulnerability just as easily as she can deliver a blood-curdling scream.

In Maintenance Required, Petsch stars as Charlie, the fiercely independent owner of an all-female mechanic shop who finds her world thrown into chaos when a flashy corporate competitor moves in across the street. Determined to fight for her future, Charlie begins confiding in an anonymous online friend, unaware that it’s actually Beau (Jacob Scipio), her new rival and business threat. As their digital chemistry builds and real-life tension sparks, the truth threatens to unravel everything, setting the stage for a witty, heartfelt battle between love and livelihood.
