Marvel is in uncharted waters with a huge stretch of projects starting with The Fantastic Four: First Steps. We had a bit of a lull period for the MCU with only one movie released in 2024, Deadpool & Wolverine, but now we’ve had three release in 2025: Captain America: Brave New World, Thunderbolts*, and Fantastic Four. The new film has plenty of superhero action, great visuals, and stunning performances from Pedro Pascal and Vanessa Kirby for audiences to sink their teeth into.

The biggest question while you’re waiting through the credits is whether or not the film has a post-credits scene and how many of them are there? Most Marvel movies have at least one post-credits scene that acts as a fun joke for audiences or a way to tease a future installment. Sitting through the credits is a rite of passage at this point. So does The Fantastic Four: First Steps have one? Here’s what you need to know. And don’t fret, there are absolutely zero spoilers for The Fantastic Four: First Steps in this article.

Does The Fantastic Four: First Steps Have A Post-Credits Scene?

The long and the short of it is, yes. There are actually TWO credits scenes in The Fantastic Four: First Steps. One is a mid-credits scene after the cast, major crew, and others are credited, the other is after all the credits roll. If you’re wondering if you can go to the bathroom and still catch it, the answer is no, you’ll miss one of them if you leave and try to come back. So for those reading this on Google, you have to sit there the entire time to see the scenes. The credits are stylized and show off the team and the 1960s aesthetic.

There’s a mid-credits scene that shows off what we can expect from the future of Marvel films with Avengers: Doomsday. Following that there’s the obligatory credits for the entire crew that worked on the film from effects artists to production assistants. After the credits play completely, there’s a message stating that The Fantastic Four will return in Avengers: Doomsday and then… the post-credits scene.

So, These Mid And Post-Credits Scenes Actually Matter?

You bet that they matter, between this one and the Thunderbolts* post-credits scene, it feels like the narrative and what we can expect for Avengers: Doomsday is coming together. The Fantastic Four: First Steps is an emotional journey with these four characters that really feels like the start of a new era for Marvel Studios. The post-credits scene really sets up the future for the MCU. That, however, is all you’re going to get. You’ll need to see the film for yourself to learn more about it.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps releases in theaters on July 25th, 2025.
