Street Fighter is shaping up to be at the very least, incredibly fun. The new movie from Legendary has added David Dastmalchian to the cast. Deadline was the first with the news. Dastmalchian has taken on a much bigger profile in recent years and this is easily his biggest role to date.

The plot details remain under wraps, but being Street Fighter, you can guess it’ll be about a tournament and M. Bison will be up to some nefarious stuff. Andrew Koji, Noah Centineo, Jason Momoa, Roman Reigns, and Orville Peck are all also in the cast as various characters from the popular fighting game series. It’s directed by Bad Trip‘s Kitao Sakurai.

M. Bison is the central villain of many of the games. He’s the leader of the criminal organization known as Shadaloo. They work in various illegal activities, including arms trafficking, mind control experiments, and global domination.

The game series originally started in 1987 with Street Fighter and has continued to be one of the most popular for Capcom through various sequels and spinoff games like Marvel Vs. Capcom. The games usually center on a fighting tournament organized by M. Bison, the evil leader of Shadaloo. The series has sold over 55 million units worldwide, making it one of the most successful video game series of all-time.
