Dust Bunny just dropped a trailer for the latest Bryan Fuller movie. Mads Mikkelsen is up against monsters of a different sort in the new film. TIFF Midnight Madness attendees got an early look. But now Dust Bunny is out there for the masses to see what all the fuss is about! Sophie Sloan plays a little girl looking for some help from her neighbor. Mikkelsen is just the man for a very specific job, and things only get more strange from there.
Sloan’s character is well-aware her neighbor probably isn’t on the up-and-up. Mikkelsen is a hitman by trade. She wants him to kill the monster under her bed! There’s reason to believe that her parents could have been eaten by this unseen force. Viewers might even wonder if there’s actually a monster here at all? It seems like a bit of a sketchy neighborhood. Could they have similar work to Mikkelsens character? A lot of questions swirl during the trailer.
Sigourney Weaver, Rebecca Henderson, and David Dastmalchian all star in this movie. Sheila Atim is also aboard Dust Bunny. Fuller is deep in his bag this time with surreal imagery and a dreamlike pace. Check out this minor Hannibal reunion for yourself up above!
Dust Bunny teases Bryan Fuller’s wild imagination
Here’s how this wild movie is described after the first look dropped. “In visionary creator Bryan Fuller’s (Hannibal, Pushing Daisies) fantastical and wickedly inventive feature directorial debut Dust Bunny, a 10-year-old girl joins forces with her hit man neighbor to confront each other’s monsters.”
“Ten-year-old Aurora has a mysterious neighbor (Mads Mikkelsen) who kills real-life monsters. He’s a hit man for hire. So, when Aurora needs help killing the monster she believes ate her entire family, she procures his services. Suspecting that her parents may have fallen victim to assassins gunning for him, Aurora’s neighbor guiltily takes the job. Now, to protect her, he’ll need to battle an onslaught of assassins ― and accept that some monsters are real..”
Dust Bunny hops into theaters on December 5 2025.
