It’s an age-old question: what’s the secret to a successful marriage? The upcoming NEON flick Splitsville dives into it… and draws some interesting conclusions.

The comedy follows Carey and Ashley, a couple who find themselves on the verge of divorce after a year of marriage. When Carey consults their friends Julie and Paul for advice, he learns the secret to their happy marriage: keeping their relationship open. But after Carey and Julie hook up, everyone’s relationships are thrown into chaos.

Check out the trailer for Splitsville below.

Dakota Johnson (Julie), Adria Arjona (Ashley), and Kyle Marvin (Carey) round out the main cast. Marvin also co-wrote the script.

In addition, the film stars  David Castañeda, O-T Fagbenle, Charlie Gillespie, Nicholas Braun, Simon Webster, Prince Rodn3y, Jessika Mathurin, Stephen Adekolu, Tyrone Benskin, Nahéma Ricci, and Letitia Brookes.

Splitsville premiered earlier this year at Cannes. It received a six-minute standing ovation at the screening.

Splitsville premieres in theaters August 22.
