The Conjuring returns for some Last Rites and Love, Brooklyn takes us to the streets of NYC. Let’s hop right in to see what the next few days of entertainment looks like!

The Conjuring: Last Rites- In Theaters Now

The Conjuring Max Streaming Series

So, it all comes down to this. The Conjuring franchise is a fan-favorite in the horror space. And, what better time to open the final frame than the time of year people start shifting gears for the fall? Our Sarah Carey found the last entry with The Conjuring: Last Rites to be haunting, as per usual. But are people ready to say goodbye to the Warrens? Expect this one to overperform as the year of horror rolls on unabated.

Hamilton – In Theaters Now

What’s old is new again. Hamilton is back in theaters this weekend. The beloved musical makes another trip to the big screen with the latest RE release. Lin Manuel Miranda made a couple waves earlier this week as he made a guest appearance at one of the first screenings of Hamilton. While he’s probably not gonna be in the crowd for your showing, it still might be fun to revisit a movie with such a strong fan base, and be amongst all the fans.

Love, Brooklyn – In Theaters Now

If the dropping temperatures have you in the mood for romance more than scares, Love, Brooklyn has you covered. Andre Holland stars in this modern romance alongside Nicole Beharie and DeWanda Wise. The city of New York is as much of a character in this movie as the actors. Can a young man choose between his past and his present? Sundance really loved this movie from Rachel Abigail Holder. Maybe you will too?

The Threesome – In Theaters Now

A spicer, and probably funnier take on romance? (Yeah, let’s go with that!) The Threesome sees Zoey Deutch, Jonah Hauer-King, and Ruby Cruz in one of the most interesting love triangles you’ll see on film this year. When a one night tryst gets messy, how will three people with very different ideas about parenthood, family, and relationships handle it?

The Paper – Streaming on Peacock

So, The Office is back. Peacock announced The Paper, The Office sequel series focusing on a newsroom with some of the same elements from that sitcom favorite. People have been enjoying getting back into a setting like this. And clearly, Peacock is encouraged by early returns on The Paper because it just got renewed for a season two. If you love The Office, this is probably worth checking out. But to be honest, you probably were watching this one anyway.

Task – Streaming on HBO Max

Stop if you heard this one before: a Marvel Cinematic Universe favorite plays a cop trying to unravel a mystery in a rundown town with a dark color palette?  Well it’s not Kathryn Hahn in the first episode of Agatha All Along, this time it’s Mark Ruffalo in Brad Inglesby’s brand new series Task! The Mare of Easttown creator is back with a new tale of a Philadelphia FBI agent. Seven episodes on the way, get in there before the train leaves the station!

The Great British Baking Show – Streaming on Netflix

Collection 13 is here for The Great British Baking Show. This streaming favorite sees Paul Hollywood and that wonderful cast of judges return for another season of baking highs and lows.
